Interior design and fit-out companies guide

Interior fit-out SEO for AI search: the listings and pages AI reads in the UAE

The SEO version: structure, listings, schema, Arabic and what to measure.

Published 9 September 2026 by Curious Mind Labs FZCO. AED 4,000 a month, 3-month minimum as it takes time to show results, named by AI in 90 days or every dirham back.

Short answer

Company owners searching for an interior design marketing agency in Dubai and homeowners searching for a fit-out contractor end in the same place: a short AI answer that names a few companies. The SEO has to serve that answer.

The work is a real cost per square foot page, one page per project type, an approvals page, matched listings, contractor and FAQPage schema, consistent English and Arabic details, and mentions counted monthly.

64% of working age people in the UAE used AI at the end of 2025, the highest share of any country (Microsoft AI Economy Institute, January 2026).

What fit-out SEO means when the answer is a paragraph

This industry has never really done search marketing. There is no published cost per click figure for interior design or fit-out terms in any UAE source we could verify, and the two main UAE advertising cost guides omit construction entirely. That is a gap, and it is also an opening.

An assistant does not present a shortlist of ten. It writes four sentences and names a few companies. So the target is not position three. It is making it possible for a model to state that your company does villa fit-outs in Dubai, works to a stated cost band, handles the approvals, and has clients who describe finished projects.

None of this hurts your Google position, and in a field this soft it usually improves it quickly.

Structure: the pages worth building

At least seven different domains run top fit-out company listicles for Dubai, and most are operators ranking themselves. A genuinely useful set of pages displaces them because there is nothing better in the field.

  • The cost page

Cost per square foot by finish level, what is included, what is not, and what moves a project between bands. Published ranges put standard villa work at AED 300 to 500 per square foot and luxury at AED 900 to 1,400 (Engel and Voelkers, stated 2025 to 2026). Publish your own and cite theirs for context.

  • One page per project type

Villa, apartment, office, food and beverage, retail, joinery. Each with scope, duration and a worked example.

  • An approvals and permissions page

Which authority approvals apply, who obtains them and how long they take. This answers a real query nobody covers well.

  • Case studies with numbers

Area, scope, duration, what changed mid project. An operator rate card puts a 1,200 square foot apartment at AED 216,000 to 336,000 (Zia Luxury cost guide, July 2026), which is the shape of detail a model can use.

  • A page for each emirate you work in

Different authorities, different approvals. Only build the page if you genuinely work there.

Open every page with a three sentence answer. Put a caption under every image.

The listings AI checks

There is no dominant directory here, so the listings do verification work rather than placement work. They still have to agree with each other.

  • Google Business Profile

Category, services, district, hours, captioned photos, questions section. Statcounter put Google at 95.8% of UAE search in August 2026.

  • Bing Places

Statcounter puts Bing at 2.37% of UAE search (August 2026), and ChatGPT search reads Bing.

  • Houzz

Project descriptions, not just images. A model can resolve a Houzz profile into a company and a service area.

  • Commercial Interior Design

The trade title behind the Fit-Out Firm Power List. Editorial placement here is the strongest third party signal in the category.

  • Design event listings

Dubai Design Week and similar. Participation records are durable entity signals.

  • Property portal editorial

Property Finder and Bayut both publish renovation and fit-out cost content for homeowners, which is the same question your buyers ask an assistant. A quoted contributor there is a citation that sits closer to the query than any social post will.

Schema for a contractor

Structured data states your facts for a machine rather than leaving it to read them off a portfolio grid.

  • LocalBusiness or GeneralContractor

Legal name, address with the emirate and addressCountry AE, the +971 phone, hours, areaServed and links to your profiles.

  • Service

One per project type, tied back to the organisation, with the area served named.

  • FAQPage

On the question blocks, especially cost, timeline and approvals.

  • ImageObject captions

Give every portfolio image a real caption in the page text. It is the cheapest content you will ever write.

The Arabic question

AI Overviews reached MENA and Arabic in May 2025 (Google, May 2025), and AI Mode expanded to over 200 countries and more than 35 additional languages including Arabic in October 2025 (Google, October 2025). Commercial clients in this market brief in both languages.

We do not sell Arabic page writing. We fix Arabic listing consistency: one spelling of the company name, matched to the trade licence, one address, one phone with the +971 code, matched everywhere. In contracting this is unusually messy because the trading name and the licensed name often differ.

What to measure

Enquiry volume in this industry is low and lumpy, so counting leads month to month tells you almost nothing. Count mentions.

  • Ten fixed questions

Agreed up front, run monthly, logged out, across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode with identical wording.

  • Named or not named

Per question, per tool, with a dated screenshot each run.

  • Cited sources

The pages the answer links to. In this category those change often, which tells you the answer is still open.

  • Enquiries that mention AI

One line on the enquiry form. With few, large projects, even one attributed enquiry matters.

Adobe Analytics found traffic from AI sources converted 54% better than traffic from other sources (Adobe Analytics via Digital Commerce 360, June 2026).

The short version

What to do this week.

Eleven things, in order. None of them needs a developer, an agency or a budget, and every one of them is checkable by you.

  1. 01Write the ten questions a client would actually type, in their words.
  2. 02Run them in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode, logged out, with dated screenshots.
  3. 03Build the cost per square foot page and cite every published range you use.
  4. 04Build one page per project type with scope, duration and a worked example.
  5. 05Build the approvals page and say who obtains what.
  6. 06Caption every portfolio image with type, area and scope.
  7. 07Claim Google Business Profile, Bing Places and Houzz and match the details.
  8. 08Add LocalBusiness or GeneralContractor, Service and FAQPage structured data and test it.
  9. 09Fix the Arabic company name across every listing and match it to the licence.
  10. 10Check phone speed, because Statcounter put UAE mobile web traffic at 52.62% in August 2026.
  11. 11Re-run the prompt set monthly on the same date and log who moved.

Questions

What owners ask about this.

Nobody in our industry does this. Is that a reason to skip it?
It is the reason to do it. Our checks found the answer to best interior design company in Dubai was unstable, with almost no overlap between the domains named. A soft field is one where a single well built cost resource can become the cited source outright.
How specific should the cost page be?
Specific enough to be useful and honest enough to be safe. Bands by finish level, what is included, what is excluded, and the things that move a project up a band. If you quote a published range, name the source and the date, because a stale number is incorrect data rather than a rounding issue.
Do we need a page for every emirate?
Only where you genuinely work. Different emirates mean different authorities and approvals, and a page that gets those wrong is worse than no page. If you cannot say something true and specific about working there, leave it out.
What does this cost if we hire it out?
AED 4,000 a month with a 3-month minimum, and if AI is not naming you by day 90 you get every dirham back. For context, one Dubai agency publishes SME SEO retainers of AED 3,000 to 8,000 a month (Skimbox, June 2026), an agency published price page rather than research.
