What happens when a visitor asks AI where to rent
The question usually holds three things at once: a car, a place and a time. A Lamborghini for two days from Downtown. An SUV for a month in Abu Dhabi. A convertible delivered to a Jumeirah hotel tomorrow. The assistant answers with a short paragraph and a handful of company names, often with a rating beside each.
Dubai welcomed 19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025 (DET data reported by Gulf News, 9 February 2026), and the RTA counted 3,494 active rental companies at the end of 2024 (Gulf News, 24 April 2025). A first-time visitor knows none of those companies by name.
Booking happens fast. Yango Group's regional head told Gulf News in December 2025 that roughly 80% of that winter's reservations were made four to five days ahead and about 20% within 48 hours. There is little time for the renter to compare, so the answer they read first does a lot of the choosing.
